When you think of esports, the common games that come to mind are MOBAs like League of Legends and Dota 2, shooters like CS:GO and Overwatch or even card games like Hearthstone. Looking to shake things up tonight on The CW is H1Z1: Fight For The Crown, a team-based game that's unlike any other out there.

H1Z1: Fight For The Crown is a 15-team competition, featuring entrants from powerhouse esports groups like Echo Fox, Cloud9, CLG and more all competing for $300,000 in prize money. During the tournament, all 75 contestants are dropped into a game of H1Z1: King of the Kill. If you are unfamiliar with the game mode, think of it like The Hunger Games. Players only have one life and must fight to be the last man standing. Because this is a team-based event, the rules are changed to whatever team is the last group standing.
