GTA Online’s latest update introduces a new game mode centered around a huge airplane (that is also now available for purchase.) Like usual, there are also more discounts and new premium races and time trials to conquer as well.
The new airplane, the RM-10 Bombushka, is a huge bomber made to look like an old Soviet plane. Available for purchase from Warstock Cache & Carry, the RM-10 Bombushka can seat up to six people, with three different turret positions to rain fire down from the sky. The RM-10 Bombushka can also be upgraded in the Hangar Workshop with items like incendiary and cluster bombs.
The new airplane leads right into the new game mode, Bombushka Run. In the game mode, players are divided into two teams of up to four players each. One side straps into a RM-10 Bombushka and must fly for as long as possible. The other team all get into separate Buzzard Attack Helicopters and must shoot down the Bombushka.
Whichever team survives the longest while piloting the Bombushka wins. Players will also earn double the RP and GTA$ by playing Bombushka Run from now through Sept. 25.
If you do splurge on getting your own RM-10 Bombushka, be sure to customize it while the options are discounted. From now through Sept. 25, all Hangar Workshops and Aircraft Weapons, Liveries and Resprays are 25 percent off. Mobile Operations Center Cabs and Executive offices are also discounted.
The next GTA Online update also adds a new premium race and time trial. This week’s premium race is actually a stunt race, Water Slide, and is locked to the Blazer Aqua. The time trial race is Calafia Way. Like always, the premium race will reward the top three finishers with triple RP and GTA$ rewards and beating the par time on the time trial race will also pay out with bonus rewards. The premium race can be accessed through the in-game cell phone’s Quick Jobs app or can be found at Legion Square. The time trial must be traveled to, so look for the location on your map.
