Let's get right to it: Gran Turismo Sport arrives Nov. 15. We're pretty excited. Anticipation for the latest installment of the best-selling PlayStation exclusive title has been building since, well, when the PlayStation 4 console first arrived to market almost three years ago.

Check out the stunning new Gran Turismo Sport release trailer here:

Polyphony has always prided in itself for its flawless photorealistic renderings, but Gran Turismo Sport takes the bakery (a cake just wasn't enough). In total, Gran Turismo Sport boasts 19 tracks and a total of 27 variations. New additions include Northern Isle Speedway and the Tokyo Expressway.

Other major highlights that were shown in the trailer include, for the first time, a sophisticated livery editor so that you can create designs for your own race team. What's more, a complete overhaul to Photomode now features hundreds of dazzling landscapes that look as if they were taken right from the pages of National Geographic. Position multiple cars for a group shot to create your own Road & Track magazine cover or recreate your own screenshot from the awesome Japan Motorhead video shot by the renowned Luke Huxham (you know the one). Of course, Photomode features the gratifying 4K output option.

But of course, what about the cars? Gran Turismo Sport features 130 vehicles, including new race versions of existing models that are designed by the studio artists of Polyphony Digital. All cars will feature an interior view, built from scratch spefically for the PS4.

130 cars is a significantly smaller car list than we're used to hearing from Polyphony. But this is great news! While Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo 6 are magical in their own right, the outdated "standard cars" included in the games detracted from what was otherwise a very high-quality looking game. The fact that Polyphony is dedicating its efforts to finish every single car to "premium" levels for the PS4 console signals a clean and very polished slate.

According to the Gran Turismo event held in London on Thursday, there are a total of 117 offline race events availabe for GTS. However, the meat of the game will be dedicated to its championship series made in collaboration with the official FIA racing organization. A digital licensing feature will bring competitive GT Academy events in four racing categories to 22 countries. The number of events are expected to continue growing until launch.

The four racing categories are designated as Group 1 (highest-tier LMP1 racing), Group 3 (GT3 Racing), Group 4 (Production-based touring car) and N-Series (Street cars).

Gran Turismo Sport may not be a full-on Gran Turismo 7, but it seems like it's got a lot going for it. Will you pick up a copy come Nov. 15? Let us know in the comment section!
