Still mid-way through December but it is already looking a lot like Christmas now at Sony. Well, that is because God of War Ragnarok has returned to the top of the U.K. Sales Chart after seeing a significant increase in sales.
God of War Ragnarok reclaimed the boxed chart after it saw a 32% increase in sales week-on-week. The PS-exclusive jumped two places at the top spot following the arrival of more PS5 stocks at the UK retail. The game also arrives in a PS5 hardware bundle.
FIFA 23 is finally dethroned by God of War Ragnarok after staying at the top for a couple of weeks, and as of writing, the football simulation game currently sits in second place. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 , on the other hand, finds its way to the third spot, while Sonic Frontiers gets one position up, from ninth to eight.
Pokémon Violet rises to fourth place despite experiencing a 12% drop in sales week-on-week. The Nintendo title swaps places with Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, which falls to the fifth spot after a drop of 32% in sales.
The biggest new release from last week, The Calisto Protocol , falls remarkably from the sixth to the 12th in just its second week due to a 69% sales drop week-on-week. While the physical edition of Cuphead debuts in the 18th spot, Need for Speed Unbound continues to drop and now moves to 19th.
Just Dance 2023 seems to be showing huge potential as it is up three places to number 11. The Ubisoft title, which was released two weeks ago, saw an uptick of 17% in sales improvement week-on-week.
Another notable riser is Super Mario , with at least six Mario games increasing in sales week-on-week. These include Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, Mario Party Superstars, Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury and Mario Strikers Charged.
