Virtual Reality games are becoming more common as headsets become more widely available, and there’s a new Ghostbusters mobile VR game that hits Google Play and App Stores today. Based on the recent Ghostbusters movie, Ghostbusters VR - Now Hiring is a new app that allows mobile users to put on a proton-pack and go bust some ghosts.
Ghostbusters VR - Now Hiring is available as a stand-alone, in-app purchase for $4.99 through Google Play or the Apple App Store, but if you purchase the Ghostbusters: Answer the Call Extended Edition 4K Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, you can download the game for free.
The new app allows players to explore the Ghostbusters’ Firehouse, find and reassemble the proton-pack, blast Slimer and trap him in the Ghost Containment Unit.
“The VR mobile experience is a fun, interactive experience that will delight the ultimate Ghostbusters fan and collector who can get it for free with their purchase of the 4K UHD/3D/BD combo pack,” said Lexine Wong, senior executive vice president of worldwide marketing in a press release. “The 4K version is already loaded with hours of additional content to explore, and the VR experience brings a whole new level of enjoyment to consumers.”
Ghostbusters VR - Now Hiring is compatible on iPhone and Android smartphones, and with VR headsets like the Merge VR Goggles or Google Cardboard. Users without a mobile VR viewer can enjoy the experience in 360-degree video mode.
