A pretty huge update for Gas Station Simulator is now available. Update 6 introduces new features, including the wall repaint service and screen space global illumination setting, among others.
A couple of new features are now available at gas station level 5. First is the new wall repaint service that allows players to hire a painter to do the wall repainting job for a price. This is a good feature since painting walls can be a very tedious task. Second, the dev team has added the Alien TR45H Eliminator Supreme. This alien technology can quickly remove footprints and trash within its range.
Another new stuff added to Gas Station Simulator is a graphics setting called screen space global illumination. This is an Unreal Engine feature that creates natural-looking lighting by adding dynamic indirect lighting to objects. In other words, this makes in-game lighting look more realistic than ever.
In Update 6, the new graphics feature is turned off by default to improve performance. Nvidia users may gain a small performance benefit by disabling the feature. However, those using AMD GPUs might get more performance power, at least according to the developers.

- 3 new popularity levels are now achievable, with statue upgrades. To accompany them we also added 3 new songs to the game
- Upgrades are now handled via a new tab on the PC called Upgrades. We improved on managing upgrades in general and added a tech tree to handle them
- Delivery drivers (food/parts) now stay in the delivery truck so they can drive away quicker
- The UI now shows how much of a product you already have when ordering
- Big changes to decorations, especially their placement:
- Indoor decorations are now called Movables
- Outdoor decorations are now calledLandmarks
- All interactive decorations (basketball, RC Car) were moved to a new category: Interactive decorations
- Small decorations around the gas station that were previously accessible from “Outdoor decorations” like benches, chairs, tables, ice machines, etc. are now accessible from Movables and are buyable in any amount.
- Movables can now be placed outside the gas station (next to its walls) in a freeform way, rather than in pre-placed positions as before
- Fixed an issue with employees getting stuck without a task after loading
- Fixed an issue that caused employees to disappear from the Employee tab
- Fixed an issue with wrongly showing the “full trash can” notification while the trash can wasn't really full
- Police cars no longer activate red/blue lights all the time
