The Game Awards 2016 will take place tonight, Dec. 1, and there will be several big announcements coming during the show. Along with all of the awards to be given out, we will also be treated to announcements from Boss Key Productions, Yacht Club Games and Psyonix.

As posted on the Yacht Club Games Facebook page, the company will be showing off “the latest on what we’ve been making.” This could be a new game from the developers of Shovel Knight, but is likely some new DLC for the fantastic side-scroller. Regardless, new things from Yacht Club is always a good thing.

For all you Rocket League fans out there, Psyonix will show off the next update for the automobile soccer game. It’s always exciting to see new DLC come to Rocket League, because most of the time, it’s free!

We also know that LawBreakers will be making some “killer reveals” during the show as well. Seeing as how LawBreakers is still technically an alpha build right now, a beta announcement might be coming during the show. It’s probably still too far out to anticipate a full-fledged release date, however.

If you want to know what will NOT be at the show this year, we can definitely say there will be no Spider-Man news from Insomniac at either The Game Awards or PlayStation Experience 2016. The studio says it will have cool stuff to share in 2017, which pretty much confirms a 2018 release date.

This is just what we know, so expect some other reveals and news to come from The Game Awards as well. Live coverage will begin at 6 p.m. EST with the show starting at 8:30 p.m. EST and can be watched on pretty much every platform including Twitch, Twitter, Facebook, and even VR. If you’re interested, there will also be a performance from Run The Jewels.

So what do you think? Are you excited for these announcements? Will you be tuning in to watch The Game Awards? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
