Foundry is Arriving to Steam Early Access on May 2

Paradox Interactive and Channel 3 Entertainment announced that its upcoming title Foundry is coming to Early Access on Steam this May 2. This procedurally generated voxel factory-building and automation sandbox had managed to get 100,000 players during the alpha phase. A demo is set to be available during the Steam Next Fest in October 2023.

Foundry is a first-person, factory-building and automation sandbox that's set in a beautiful and procedurally generated voxel world. Players start from humble beginnings where they get to manually mine and process resources. They also get to craft machinery and develop technologies. They can then advance to having the whole production line automated based on their plans.

Of course, there's going to be logistic challenges along the way like planning pipe and belt networks and even managing those complex power systems, to name a few. Foundry can be played solo or with friends and offers a good combination grid-based construction games and factory building simulations.

  • Construct towering machinery and snaking networks of conveyor belts and pipes with no limits on where you build.

  • Maintain a complex power system to keep the factory running at top speed.
  • Work solo or recruit outside contractors in online or LAN co-op multiplayer.
  • Create an enormous factory complex stretching from deep underground to the planet's surface and the skies above.
