Forza Horizon 4 has a new update and to honor the Horizon Festival, developers are giving players a chance to get three new cars to be added to their collection.

These new cars introduced in the Series 36 update have rich histories. And without further ado, meet Mazda Cosmo, Mazda RX-3, and Saleen S1.

1972 Mazda Cosmo

The Mazda Cosmo was the company's "halo car" built using Mazda's Wankel rotary engine. The lineup put Mazda’s name on the map and was part of its success.

A “halo car” is a vehicle that would serve as the template for future automobile development and because the first-generation Cosmo thrived, the company made more.

The car was made by hand which makes it quite special, though it could not support thousands of units due to the amount of time needed.

Even though the car itself was not a commercial success, per se, their Wankel rotary engine was. It was popular because of its power and less displacement as it had only a few moving parts.

The final model of the car, the 1972 Mazda Cosmo, can now be acquired in the game. You can get this amazing halo car by completing the “Mazda’s Guide to the Galaxy” seasonal championship in the Autumn tournament.

1973 Mazda RX-3

Because the Cosmo was not commercially viable, Mazda had to create an affordable and more reproducible car. Thus, the Mazda RX-3 was born.

It made use of the aforementioned Wankel rotary engine and the car benefited immensely due to its size. Plus, its horsepower can rival an engine four times its size.

That said, if you want to get this amazing car, the RX-3 can be acquired after you finish at least 50% of the Summer seasonal playlist.

2018 Saleen S1

Saleen is a company that made a name for itself by selling upgraded Mustangs, which can be used in race tracks. However, the company decided to make something entirely their own: The Saleen S1.

Saleen S1 is a mid-engine supercar, complete with a 2.3-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine. All of the inner workings were made entirely by the company, though the design was thanks to a Chinese manufacturer, JSAT.

If you are interested in adding this car to your collection, you can get this by completing at least 50% of the Spring seasonal playlist.

The Forza Horizon 4 Season 36 update is now available on PC and Xbox X/S consoles. Which of the new cars are you most excited about?
