Epic Games and "Fortnite" have officially announced that a new crossover experience with Netflix's "Stranger Things" is coming to the battle royale game, but it will be available in one specific game mode only.

This upcoming experience is taking place this month on the Blitz Royale game mode on "Fortnite," featuring a trip back to Hawkins' 80s retro-themed town as well as the horrors that lie within.

'Fortnite' x 'Stranger Things' Coming to Blitz Royale

In a new post by "Fortnite" on its official X account, there is an upcoming crossover with "Stranger Things" coming to the battle royale game, but unlike the previous one, it is coming to the Blitz Royale game mode.

That said, this crossover is not a small deal for gamers as Blitz Royale has been one of the more popular game modes that arrived in the game in the past months.

At present, "Fortnite" is still in the middle of its collaboration with "The Simpsons," according to GameRant, with the battle royale map having transformed into its take on Springfield, the fictional setting of the iconic show.

What to Expect on 'Stranger Things' Blitz Royale

Blitz Royale was introduced to the game last June 18 as a limited-time event, but due to its massive popularity among players, it became a permanent addition to the game modes on "Fortnite."

This new spin on the classic Battle Royale focuses on a smaller pool of participants spawning in a tinier map with only 32 players allowed to join in and conquer the match.

The Blitz Royale is also known for its shorter-than-usual match duration in the game as it only runs for five minutes, making it one of the fastest online game modes in the battle royale title.

"Fortnite" has not yet announced any other new additions alongside the "Stranger Things" collaboration revelation, particularly if there will be new character cosmetics or sets coming alongside it.

Previously, "Fortnite's" crossover with the iconic Netflix show brought on the likes of Chief Hopper, the Demigorgon, Eleven, and other characters in 2019 and 2023.
