Another epic (pun intended) crossover is about to happen, courtesy of the tandem of Epic Games and Marvel. Fortnite is here to promote Avengers: Endgame.

Last year, the two companies worked together to promote Avengers: Infinity War. Thanos became a playable character, immediately becoming popular for his smooth dance moves. He became a meme in every existing gaming forum, truly proving how good his dancing skills are. Now, Epic Games and Marvel are back at it again. Since the showing of Marvel’s latest movie, Avengers: Endgame, is only a few days away (April 26), Fortnite is here to help them out again and make sure to pull in gamers not only to the game, but also to the movie theaters.

As for now, we only have one clue on hand for what this crossover will bring to us: a single photo of the character Bright Bomber holding Captain America’s vibranium shield. It looks like the players will be able to use this indestructible shield. We’re expecting to hear more news and see new teasers as the date draws near.

In the meantime, Epic Games has their hands full as usual with Fortnite’s continuous updates. The game’s map is currently changing in preparation for the upcoming in-game event centered on Loot Lake.

In addition to this, the game’s long awaited Fortnite World Cup is coming this summer. Epic Games guaranteed that there’s a lot of cash to be won, $30 million to be exact, which will also includes $3 million for the solo winner. This esports event takes place in New York from July 26 to July 28. As for the details on how to be qualified for the event, Epic Games is hosting 10 qualifying tournaments with a $1 million prize pool from April 13 to June 16. These tournaments pick a hundred of the best-of-the-best solo players and fifty duos that all head to the Fortnite World Cup. Epic Games reassured the competitors that they will receive at least $50,000 just by getting in.

Fortnite continues to be the battle royal to play this summer. Stay tuned for more exciting news, especially as we draw closer to the release of Avengers: Endgame.
