What do you get when you mix food and four wheels? You get Food Truck Empire. In this 3D tycoon game, players customize food trucks, create menus, and find hungry customers across various cities in the US. It's set to arrive on PC soon.
The goal of the game is for players to have their own fleet of mobile kitchens and be the king of street food. In building an empire, it's important to find customers and, of course, fill those bellies.
It's not going to be that easy since there are a lot of things to consider when setting up in a city. There are times of day, events, and even opportunities. In addition, each district has different people living in them and they have different tastes. For example, players need to choose between going to the old industrial district where hungry workers abound or going for the downtown lunch rush with busy bankers and their deep pockets.
The game allows players to customize everything. Each element of the truck can be tweaked and customized, from the fender to the rim. Be sure that the truck looks the part since these are the heart of the food empire.
Unlike in a restaurant, a food truck is tiny which means every inch is important. It’s not enough to build the perfect mobile kitchen since it’s also important to optimize the recipes and production.
For every city, players start small. Meaning it's just a few “vintage” rust buckets, some dubious recipes, and that one food court behind the gas station. As players expand across districts and cities, they encounter new customers having diverse tastes. There are also the new dishes and the ability to improve on the tried and tested ones.
