The March update for Final Fantasy XI Online is finally here. One of the highlights is the introduction of the March 2023 Login Campaign from March 11 to April 9. During this event, players can get points and redeem them for in-game items like the ♪Phuabo.
You should be happy to know that this new update also adds the final chapter of The Voracious Resurgence. In Part 1 of Chapter 11, a betrayer lies in wait in Castle Zvahl and you must stop whatever they are planning and unseal the gate. To start this new quest, you first need to:
- Have completed the quest Odin’s Eye.
- Have heard an explanation about the Mog House from the moogle.
Once you meet the requirements, you need to speak with the moogle in front of the Mog House in your home nation.
Changes to Ambuscades
The March update makes changes to Ambuscades as well, with enemies in Normal and Intense Ambuscades have been swapped out. Other changes are:
- Intense Ambuscades
- The amount of time between the Bozzetto Songstress being affected by silence effects and using Cleansing Bubbles has been increased from 45s to 60s.
- The Bozzetto Songstress no longer has cumulative status ailment resistance.
- The amount of time that it takes the Bozzetto Flowspear, Bozzetto Wavefist, Bozzetto Hydrophile, and Bozzetto Chirurgeon to respawn after being defeated has been increased from 90s to 180s.
- The amount of damage taken in one blow required for the Bozzetto Flowspear, Bozzetto Wavefist, Bozzetto Hydrophile, and Bozzetto Chirurgeon to activate special abilities has been increased from 10,000 to 22,222.
- The Bozzetto Flowspear, Bozzetto Wavefist, Bozzetto Hydrophile, and Bozzetto Chirurgeon will no longer retain the levels when they respawn.
- Normal Ambuscades
- Mukasura’s HP has been decreased by approximately 10%.
- The air elemental’s HP has been decreased by approximately 25%.
- The light elemental’s HP has been decreased by approximately 50%.
Special Site
A while back, the WE ARE VANA’DIEL special site was launched which highlighted the different aspects of the Final Fantasy XI and its history across the years. It's been updated with new content to give players a look into the world of the development of Final Fantasy XI Online.
The latest update is "WE GREW VANA’DIEL #18" featuring the game's Localization Director Michael-Christopher Koji Fox. He'll be discussing his involvement with the game and sharing his thoughts on the past two decades as a member of the Localization team.
There's also a special “Messages from Staff Members Then and Now” published to celebrate 20 years of live operations.
