The Regalia in Final Fantasy 15 is a sick ride and definitely makes exploring the open world a dream. But the Regalia is more than a slick roadster – it is also capable of transforming into an airship, the Regalia Type-F.

The next question is how do we get the Type-F? It looks like the only way is to complete the game. First, the Regalia Type-F will not be available until players complete Final Fantasy 15 and watch the credits roll. After that, head to the Leide region to infiltrate the Niflheim base. The Formouth Garrison base will involve challenging encounters, so players are recommended to level up to 50 or above before taking on the quest.

The Nifleim base is completed following a couple boss fights. After that, the party receive a new quest, "Into Unknown Frontiers," that asks you to head over to Cindy and hand off some strange items. Cindy will give the Regalia a major makeover with the parts and voila! You got yourself a Regalia Type-F flying car.

you’ll receive a quest titled “Into Unknown Frontiers,” asking you to speak with Cindy. Drive over to Hammerhead and show her your new parts, at which point she’ll install them into the Regalia, finally giving you the Type-F upgrade and the ability to fly.

But before flying off in your brand-new airship, there's something you should know – sticking the landing is a major key. Flying the car is easy: gain a little speed and you'll be up in the air in no time. However, crash landings end with a game over.
