Final Fantasy XV makes you work for the most powerful weapons except for one: The Dominator. With a name like The Dominator you’d expect to have a hard time acquiring it, but that’s not the case. Here’s where to find the greatsword in Final Fantasy XV.

First, you’ll have to beat Chapter 14, which completes the storyline. The Dominator isn’t available until you get to Chapter 15, which is essentially there to explore endgame content. There is no dungeon or quest associated with The Dominator; all you have to do is go to a location and pick it up. Easy-peasy, y’all.

Now for the location! The Dominator is found northwest of the Alstor Slough parking spot by a cluster of small buildings. The treasure icon will eventually pop up on your map. Go to the icon and the Dominator will be waiting for you in all its glory.

The Dominator (stats)

  • Attack: 265

  • Critical: 2

  • Max HP Modifier: 298

  • Dark Resistance: 32

  • Price: 6,000 gil

The Dominator will probably the easiest “legendary” weapon you’ll pick up in the end-game. You’ll want pick this up right away and likely equip it to Gladio. The Dominator is imbued with the Light element, making it useful against late-game Demons. Need help with some other aspects of Final Fantasy XV ? REVIEW SUMMARY
Final Fantasy XV
8.5
Combat, Plot, Characters Create Something Flawed, Beautiful, Fantastic
Despite it's flaws, Final Fantasy XV is a milestone achievement: not just for being completed, but for being completed with polish, aplomb and love.
  • Engaging main cast of characters
  • Fun, fast-paced combat
  • A massive, beautiful world to explore
  • The Regalia!
  • Continuous updates have addressed some shortcomings of the initial release
  • Major aspects of the story feel rushed or absent, particularly toward the end of the game
  • Stealth sequences feel out of place
