‘FIFA 17’ Patch 1.08: Ultimate Team Receives Fixes, No New MLS Teams Added

FIFA 17 latest patch is now available on PS4 and Xbox One EA

EA Sports released Patch 1.08 for FIFA 18 this week. This was the fourth major patch post-release that FIFA has received and it is more substantial than the third patch released three weeks ago.

This update focused primarily on Ultimate Team, which has received much of the focus inside the updates in the last few months. With the report a few weeks ago that the Ultimate Team modes for EA Sports’ titles earn $800 million annually for EA, it makes sense that they work to make the mode better and add new features frequently.

Within Ultimate Team mode, many things in FUT Champions were changed in this patch. Squad restrictions and limited attribute items were two of the fixes within the FUT Champions. The biggest update was to limit the number of times players can win in a weekday knockout tournament. This evens the playing field amongst players as all players will be capped in the amount of games they can win.

One thing this patch did not deliver was the addition of two new MLS teams – Minnesota FC and Atlanta United. The teams are in their first seasons in Major League Soccer and while FIFA 17 features every MLS team, these two have yet to be added in the game. In a bit of good news, Atlanta United star striker Josef Martinez is featured in Ultimate Team as a new card that players can pick up, either in new packs for a week or to be purchased on the transfer market in FIFA .
