Fault: Patch 0.16.3 Reworks the Raptor System

Developers of the third-person MOBA game Fault launched a new update that reworks the Raptor System. Patch 0.16.3 brings some balancing adjustments as well.

Raptor System Rework

The dev team reworked the Raptor System in Fault after community feedback. Apparently, the players felt that taking raptors was unrewarding compared to other objectives on the map. Because of this, it received some significant changes.

First, the Favor granted per raptor has been reduced to one. Next, a new Prime Raptor spawns at the 30-minute mark, and it grants the Power of the Ancients buff when killed.

This buff gives players the ability to deal damage over time to any enemy or neutral unit they attack (excluding structures) for 180 seconds. The overall damage dealt by this DoT is increased for every raptor slain by the team.

The other changes to the Raptor System include:

  • Spawn times adjusted to 6 minutes.
  • 1st: 6% Bonus Physical and Energy Power.
  • 2nd: Deal 15% additional True Damage to enemy structures and large and epic monsters.
  • 3rd: Gain 6% Out-of-Combat Movement Speed, increase Fountain Regeneration by 100%.
  • 4th: Gain 6% Lifesteal and SpellVamp, increase Outgoing Heals and Shields by 15%.
  • 5 favor per Apex Slain.

Patch 0.16.3 also has balancing adjustments. For instance, all heroes in Fault now have a slight increase in movement speed. The rest of the changes can be seen below:

GRIM.exe Rework

  • All abilities now have the following changes:
    • Cooldown: 12 seconds at all levels
    • Base damage: 60/100/140/180/220
    • Mana cost: 60/70/80/90/100
    • Power scaling: (80% Energy Power Scaling / 100% Physical Power Scaling)
  • Mana used per non Ion shot: 25/22.5/20/17.5/15
  • Mana regained from Ion shot: (10% BAD + 5% Energy Power)
  • Mana Regained from Detonation: 50 (+ 25% Energy Power/45% Physical Power)
  • Removed Bonus Detonation Regeneration if Ion Mode was being used
  • Cooldown increased to 22/20/18/16/14 seconds
  • Mana cost reduced to zero
  • Mana Back: 100/110/120/130/140 + 10% Missing Mana
  • Removed blast active cooldown reduction
  • Removed RMB active cooldown reduction
  • Removed Energy Treads from the game
Boots of Haste
  • Cooldown reduction reduced to 10
  • Mana increased to 250
  • Now builds out of S.I. Boots and a Crystal
Inertia Wraps
  • Energy Resistance increased to 25
  • Now builds out of S.I Boots and a Protection Veil
