If you're one of those who like to support the development of video games, then Farsiders should be right up your alley. It's an upcoming top-down hack-and-slash RPG currently on Kickstarter. However, it won't be staying on the platform for long since the campaign is closing on May 5.
As a last push for the campaign, the development team revealed that they wanted to give those backing the game a stretch goal that was more achievable. As a result, the first stretch goal has been lowered to $50,000 and once reached, unlocks even more amazing spell cards for players to use.
Once the campaign closes, players can look forward to the second round of alpha test scheduled from May 8 to May 14. Regarding the first alpha test, the community feedback helped the team introduce several in-game improvements.
Farsiders tells the story of Cassandra, who is currently the youngest member of Spectralon. She's been given her first mission which is to investigate an abandoned island. However, it is here where she encounters The Soul Syndicate terrorist group. Things suddenly take a quick turn when the leader of the Soul Syndicate used dark magic and opened a mysterious time portal leading to the ancient kingdom of Camelot.
On her journey, Cassandra constantly travels back and forth between the present in the advanced city of Ostahl and the past in the ancient kingdom of Tellune where she is considered a "Farsider."
Key features of the game include:
- Unleash skills and take on more than 30 different types of enemies.
- Fight against thrilling bosses with unforgettable unique mechanics.
- Upgrade technology and magic to get stronger and survive.
- Weapon attachments give a unique passive upgrade resulting in a new user experience.
- Unlock magical energy flow called Anima, and manipulate this energy by using Aether, a magic container in the form of a skill tree.
