FACEIT announced the teams that have qualified for the FACEIT Global Summit: PUBG Classic. The tournament is scheduled to begin April 16 at the ExCeL London, and features the top 24 teams in the world fighting it out for a share of the $400,000 prize pool. This tournament is the first in the 2019 circuit.

For the China Region, 17 Gaming has earned a slot along with Crystal Luster and Four Angry Men. 17 Gaming is currently the top team in the region. PGI Berlin FPP champion Oh My God has qualified as well, and hopes to repeat that win in this tournament.

Moving to the Korea Region, Afreeca Freecs Fatal, considered as one of the most disciplined teams, will compete in the tournament along with Team VSG. Set to join the tournament from the same region are OGN Entus Force and OP Gaming Rangers. In North America, fan favorite Tempo Storm has qualified, as well as Shoot To Kill and Team Envy. Cloud9 has also earned a spot at the tournament.

The Oceana Region is represented by Incognito, which delivered an upset to Athletico Esports. Latin America has Brazilian Crusaders, while GameHome Esports, Armory Gaming, and Divine Esports have all been added from the Southeast Asia region. The Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau qualifier, meanwhile, added MP5 and ahq e-Sports Club.

Two other qualifiers are still ongoing, with the European Qualifier set to be done by April 7 and the Japanese Qualifiers on April 6.

Overall, a total of 19 teams have qualified with four more coming from Europe and one from the Japan Region.

For the tournament format, the Group Stage includes three groups composed of eight teams. The top eight move to the Grand Finals, with the bottom 16 proceeding to the Elimination Stage.

In the Elimination Stage, a total of six matches are played. The placement of the teams will be based on the team's performance for both the Group Stage and the Elimination Stage. The top eight move to the Grand Finals.

The Grand Finals of the tournament are scheduled to feature six matches per day, and lasts for two days.

Aside from getting the top prize, the top three performing regions get additional slots for the PUBG Global Championship 2019 later this year.
