If you're looking forward to Nightingale's launch to early access, we have some bad news. This time, it's delayed to this year's fall.
The game was initially set to arrive on early access back in 2022. However, developer Inflexion Games revealed that it was moved to the first half of 2023. This decision was based on two considerations with the first being an update to Unreal Engine 5, and the second for extra improvements before launch.
The latest announcement was made through a developer update video where CEO Aaryn Flynn shared that the decision to move the release was due to many discussions with the team. The reason is that the playtest process appears to be working. According to Flynn, the feedback that they've received from players have been critical and this additional time should let the team continue with the progress but not at the expense of compromising their health.
You can watch the developer update video below:
If you weren't able to watch the video, it also addresses community feedback along with the highlights of the latest gameplay and technical improvements. The video gives an insight as well into some of the new creatures like the Hexham Mongrel, Elephas, and Leporidon.
Going back to the big announcement, the studio revealed that they would like to thank the community for the continued patience and support and that they're looking forward to sharing more of what the game can offer in upcoming weeks and months.
That said, a new playtest is scheduled from May 26 to June 5. Players who want to join can register at the game's official website.
