Good news for Dragon Ball fans! Bandai Namco has confirmed that the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour is coming back in 2023, and it’s going to be online and on-site. The event is scheduled for March 4 and March 5 at The Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas.

Since the pandemic started, there have been two online editions of this fan-focused event. Like the one before it, this upcoming event is the place for Dragon Ball fans around the world to join and celebrate. There will be news, showcases, and of course, tournaments, all on-site.

Dragon Ball FighterZ

One of the tournaments happening at the event is the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour 2022/2023 Finals. Right now, many players around the globe are currently competing to qualify.

For the qualifiers, there are two tournaments exclusively on-site, while the third will be done on-site and online. The competitors are then ranked with the top players moving to the Finals. However, there's a Last Chance Qualifier and two lucky players will get the chance to join the Finals.

Dragon Ball Legends

Finally, there's Dragon Ball Legends with the qualifiers following a Swiss-System where all players play an equal number of rounds whether they win or lose. The Finals will follow a single elimination format.

What makes this one exciting is that there will be a special tournament having a specific ruleset called “Special Pick Rule. In this one, two players take turns picking three randomly displayed characters and then they choose one for their team and one for their opponent. This continues until each team has six characters ready to fight.
