Dota 2 has ended Day 2 of The International 2019 and for Group A, it was still Team Secret on top. In addition, Secret remains to be the only team in the tournament that hasn't lost a game. The team is composed of Michał "Nisha" Jankowski, Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng, Ludwig "zai" Wåhlberg, Yazied "YapzOr" Jaradat, and Team Captain Clement "Puppey" Ivanov.

On Day 1, Secret had three games. The group played against Alliance, Newbee, and Team Liquid. For both Alliance and Newbee, the pattern was pretty much the same. The opposing team took the lead in game one, only for Secret to later tilt the balance and take the win. With Liquid, Secret made short work of them.

On Day 2, Secret had only one match and it was against Keen Gaming. KG tried to put up a fight, but it was all Secret as MidOne ended the game with the most kills on his Ember Spirit. In the second game, it appears that KG had trouble keeping up with Secret's picks. This time it was Nisha who had the most kills on his Gyrocopter. As if that wasn't enough, Secret won the game and only gave up two team deaths, both from MidOne.

For the other Dota 2 teams in Group A, PSG.LGD remained in second place. For Day 2, its first match was against Newbee. In game one, PSG.LGD dominated the match with Newbee calling GG in under 25 minutes. The top performer was Yang "Chalice" Shenyi on Enchantress with 10 kills and zero deaths. The second game was a bit different as Newbee tried to fight back. At the start, it was PSG.LGD looking strong until around 40 minutes in, when Newbee grabbed the lead. This lead didn't last long, as PSG.LGD showed just how ready they are for TI9 and got the lead back to win the game.

Next up was Liquid and despite a rather valiant effort from the team with both games lasting more than 40 minutes, PSG.LGD ultimately claimed victory. In both games, Liquid's Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi actually had strong performances with Ember Spirt on the first game and Alchemist on the second.

For Group A, the results are:

  • Team Secret (8-0)
  • PSG.LGD (8-2)
  • Mineski (5-3)
  • TNC Predator (5-5)
  • Newbee (4-4)
  • Alliance (4-4)
  • Team Liquid (3-7)
  • Keen Gaming (2-8)
  • Chaos Esports Club (1-7)
