Day three of the Dota 2 ESL One Fall: Bootcamp Edition is done and we finally get a clearer picture of who could be moving to the Playoffs. For Group A, Virtus.pro continued its undefeated streak and now has the solo lead. In Group B, Beastcoast managed to hold on to the top spot, and as expected, PSG.LGD isn’t that far behind.

Solo Lead

Yesterday, Virtus.pro and Tundra Esports were tied for first place in Group A. That would eventually be broken when the two faced off. In the first game, VP had a strong performance with Danil "gpk" Skutin finishing with 20 kills and only two deaths. The second game was pretty much the same with gpk getting 11 kills and zero deaths. With this, VP is guaranteed an Upper Bracket placement.

The second spot would depend on the results of today’s match. For example, there is the possibility of having a three-way tie. That also means Creepwave and Thunder Predator are on the way to being eliminated. The good news, if you can call it, is that at least they get to take home some prize money. This is something that wasn’t available in the two other major tournaments under the DPC.

Hanging On

For Group B, Beastcoast managed to hold on to the top spot by getting a draw against Alliance. In that match, Alliance grabbed the win in the first game which took just above 50 minutes. In the second game though, Beastcoast would do quick work of Alliance and finish it in 25 minutes.

Also in Group B and as expected, PSG.LGD started to climb its way to the top after a slow start. For the first two days of the competition, the team had lost to Beastcoast and had a draw with Team Empire. This time, however, the team was on a roll beating Alliance 2–0 and then later Team Liquid, also 2–0.

It’s still not clear who’s going to be eliminated since there’s a three-way tie for the bottom spot.
