Western Europe has some of the best Dota 2 teams in the world, and for Tour 1 of the 2023 DPC, Team Liquid is on a mission to prove that they're the ones that belong at the top of the food chain. So far, the team is on the right path and remains undefeated. As a result, they now secure a spot in Lima Major, the second team to do so after Team Aster.

Team Liquid had a strong showing at The International 2022 though their efforts fell short and only managed to finish third place. After that, uncertainty rose after Lasse "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen revealed that he was leaving the pro scene. However, they managed to find a good replacement in Michał "Nisha" Jankowski, who had been released by Team Secret.

Despite the short time available, it appeared to be enough for Nisha to find his place in the team and the results of Tour 1 showed. The team pretty much dominated their first three opponents. The next three matches were no different.

In the match against Into the Breach, for example, Nisha and Michael "miCKe" Vu both managed to get double digits in kills in the two games. The second game, in particular, was humiliating for Into the Breach who only managed to get nine team kills against 10 kills from miCKe and 12 kills from Nisha. The same result happened against Nigma Galaxy. Now, this was a team that had four members who were former TI-champions, but it still didn't matter as Liquid again dominated both games.

If anything, it was the match against Gaimin Gladiators that you can say they had some trouble with. While Liquid did start strong and won the first game, Gaimin managed to return the favor and grab the victory in the second game. This seemed to have motivated Liquid, which didn't give Gaimin a chance and won the third game.

The team's remaining game is against OG and they'll need to win it if they want to finish on top for Tour 1 and get 300 DPC Points.
