A new update has been released for Dota 2, which introduces a treasure drop known as the Chest of Endless Days. Unlike other treasures, this one can’t be purchased directly. Instead, it’s going to drop randomly to players who are competing in matchmaking. There is a catch and it’s a big one. To open the chest, you’re going to need a key which will cost you $2.49 each.

If you manage to get a key, each treasure opened grants a set for any of these heroes:

  • Drow Ranger
  • Luna
  • Lycan
  • Nature's Prophet
  • Pangolier
  • Templar Assassin
  • Viper
  • Weaver
  • Winter Wyvern
  • Wraith King

Opening the treasure chest also gives players a chance to unwrap:

  • Rare Witch Doctor set
  • Very Rare Hoodwink set
  • Ultra Rare Kid Invoker set

For those of you who don’t want to spend money in exchange for the chance to own good sets, you can always sell the treasure on the market.

Call to Arms

In addition to the new treasure chest, the Summer Workshop 2022 Call to Arms has been issued. It’s that time of the year again when workshop contributors are going to squeeze out those creative juices and come up with new sets for their favorite heroes.

As an added incentive, the Dota 2 team revealed that they’ll be adding Marci and Primal Beast into the mix.

Submissions are now being accepted with the last day of submission on October 23. The team reminded everyone to make sure that the items they make aren’t overlooked and that their work should have the “Summer 2022” tag. Like the usual Call to Arms, concepts that involve human skulls, blood, and gore should be avoided.
