Season 4 of the Dota 2 BTS Pro Series is well underway. Well, technically for two regions, which are Southeast Asia and the Americas. The third region, Europe, follows a rather different format so there are no matches yet.
For Southeast Asia, it’s been four days of matches and so far, it’s been TNC asserting dominance. Going to the Americas, there are matches scheduled today and it’s been 4 Zoomers that remain undefeated.
Americas
In this region, it’s 4 Zoomers that’s on top after sweeping opponents in the first three days of competition. Not that surprising though considering its line-up. That’s not to say that they have the region in the bag since other teams can snatch the victory away at any time. There’s no question a lot of interesting matches are yet to come.
The matches scheduled for today in this region are:
- Sadboys vs 4 Zoomers
- Arkosh Gaming vs Jaguares Esports
- beastcoast vs Thunder Predator
Southeast Asia
This region has seen some Dota 2 teams take a break or worse, call it GG. It appears that this tournament should give fans a rather good way to end the year. TNC is trying again to affirm its dominance in the region: ending with four matches of two wins and two draws.
Fans also get to see Fnatic return with a complete roster, and Djardel Jicko “DJ” Mampusti taking on the role of Team Captain. After all, he’s been the one in the team the longest. Then, there’s Execration too who’s slowly going back to the scene.
But all eyes are on Motivate.Trust Gaming, especially after Natthaphon “Masaros” Ouanphakdee left the team to join Fnatic. For now, Motivate.Trust is having two temporary stand-ins.
Europe
As mentioned, the European leg of this tournament is yet to start. This is likely because one of the teams invited, Vikin.gg, is still in the EPIC League tournament. Another difference is that the two other regions have eight teams participating, while Europe only sees six.
In their format, Vikin.gg and Yellow Submarine already clinched a Semifinals spot. The other four teams will fight for the last two spots. Matches will begin on December 16.
