‘DJ Mag’ Top 100 DJs 2016: Martin Garrix Wins Top Spot

Dutch DJ, Martin Garrix has been voted the number one DJ in the world for 2016 by DJ Magazine . At 20 years old, he is the youngest musician ever to top the list.

The DJ Mag Top 100 DJs list is a publicly voted contest, which ranks the world’s favorite DJ’s yearly. This year’s votes exceeded one million, according to DJ Mag , with music fans from the U.S., India, Brazil, Mexico, Belgium, Netherlands, UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Russia, China and Japan contributing the most votes.

Garrix is known for his 2013 hit Animals as well as Virus (How About Now) with MOTi and Don’t Look Down featuring Usher, among many singles.

Recent reports indicate the DJ is halfway through releasing seven new songs during the Amsterdam Dance Event. So far he has released the tracks ‘WIEE’ with Mesto, ‘Spotless’ with Jay Hardway and ‘Sun Is Never Going Down’ featuring Dawn Golden.

Following Garrix on the Top 100 DJs list are the Belgian duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, who topped the list in 2015, and Dutch DJ, Hardwell who took the number one spot in 2013 and 2014.
