July 30 is a pretty eventful day for The Division 2, as Ubisoft will officially roll out Episode 1: DC Outskirts – Expeditions to all its players across all platforms. If you bought a Year 1 Pass, though, the excitement begins today, as Ubisoft announced what these players will get in terms of both bonus and early access content for The Division 2.

Starting today, July 23, Year 1 Pass owners get a week’s worth of early access gameplay to Episode 1: DC Outskirts – Expeditions. The expansion itself contains two new main missions, the brand-new Expeditions mode, plus some new weapons and gear for all players to enjoy. Year 1 Pass owners, however, will also get two new Classified Assignments that will remain exclusive to them and them alone. The first of these Classified Assignments was rolled out in May, and the only prerequisite for these next two is to complete that one first. Two new areas will be covered by these Assignments: Washington's Central Aquarium and NSA Site B13.

The Aquarium Civilian Rescue Assignment will see Agents responding to a distress call from a small, besieged community in the Central Aquarium. The populace is being threatened by Hyenas, who seek to scavenge equipment and terrorize everyone in sight. With the help of a local ally, players will push back against this threat while also learning of the mystery behind the missing aquatic life.

The NSA Security Alert Assignment, on the other hand, takes place in a very different setting – in the pristine interior of NSA Site B13 that remained undisturbed until now. A coded message was broadcast from beneath the National Mall, which sends Agents to uncover a plot by the Black Tusk mercenaries to breach a Metro tunnel wall to gain access to a National Security Agency data center. Players must secure the site to eventually uncover NSA’s response to Black Friday.

If the idea of additional Classified Assignments like these appeal to you, then go check out the Year 1 Pass for The Division 2, which is available across all platforms.

The Division 2 is now available to play on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
