Walt Disney Entertainment will add Rogue One stormtroopers to the Star Wars Launch Bay at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, the official Disney Parks Blog announced on Monday. But something has changed: the specter of death has been erased, sanitized from sight so park attendees can spend their day unperturbed by the truth of their inevitable destruction. The Imperial Death Trooper will not go by that name, but will instead be known as AWR (Advanced Weapons Research) Troopers.

Here’s Walt Disney World Resort’s description of the Troopers that shouldn’t remind you of your wormy end:

“AWR (Advanced Weapons Research) Troopers are encased in specialized Stormtrooper armor with a dark, ominous gleam. They are the bodyguards and enforcers of Director Krennic, who holds a high status in the AWR division of the Empire. Guests will soon have a chance to spot these AWR Troopers in a new scene in the existing “ Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away ” daytime show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.”

Pop culture shall not rest until all memento mori has been stricken from our sight. But remember, thou art mortal.
