Destiny 2
Destiny 2 Activision / Bungie

The final countdown to Destiny 2 looks like it’ll be just as heavy on marketing as the final push for Bungie’s first shared-world shooter, if the latest slew of trailers are any indication. Bungie also says it has big plans for the PAX West, the last video game convention before the Destiny 2 release date.

Last week, Bungie published three trailers focusing on NPCs who believed to play a major role in the Destiny 2 campaign. Two focused on Vanguards from the first Destiny, Cayde-6 and Commander Zavala, while the third introduced fans to a new human NPC, Hawthorne. And three more trailers emerged over the weekend (and Monday morning). The next two Destiny 2 trailers to hit the web continued the character introduction series, pivoting the spotlight to Ghaul and Ikora. But the sixth Destiny 2 trailer to emerge in the last week changes focus, giving new fans a better understanding of what to expect when the game debuts Sept. 6.

In other Destiny 2 news, Bungie confirmed the game will have a significant present at PAX West 2017. The studio is taking over the Paramount Theatre for three days of community-focused events, cosplay Destiny 2 panels and other activities Bungie believes would appeal to the shooter’s legion of adoring fans. The studio also says D2 will be playable at PAX West. But that’s all the information we have on Bungie’s plans for PAX West. All we can do is hope for further clarification, or an official schedule for the weekend, in the studio’s weekly update.
