Can you survive the horrors? Crafting Legends

What do you get when you put cosmic horror in a post-apocalyptic setting? It’s none other than Death Trash, a game which offers old-school role-playing mixed with modern action gameplay. The game is now on Steam Early Access.

The game comes at $19.99. However, developer Crafting Legends is currently running a promotion and offering it at a 10% discount until August 13.

Story

In the future, humanity has traveled to the stars and even settled on different planets. One of these is Nexus, which holds ancient secrets. Those secrets have been revealed and the people have now fled to enclosed habitats. This has resulted in the wastelands being ruled by outcasts, controlling machines, and even offspring of the worm.

Gameplay

Death Trash offers players real-time game with melee and ranged combat, stealth, and even multiple choice dialogues. Like any RPGs, it has an inventory system, crafting system, and access to skills.

Players can customize their characters through stats and decisions in-game. In addition to the main story, there are also side quests to take on. Players get to experience freedom like:

  • Being able to manually save games
  • Leaving the dialogue anytime
  • Killing everyone or letting them live

While the main feature is its immersive single-player campaign, it also has a local co-op mode which has these features:

  • Covers the entire campaign.
    • The second player can join and leave anytime.
  • The second player has their own character, stats, inventory, etc.
    • Quest progress is shared.
  • Both players are restricted to the same location and traveling on the world map happens together.
  • Both players can perform actions separately which include dialogues.
    • The two players don't interrupt each other.
  • The game comes with a shared screen mode by default.
    • It offers a permanent split screen mode.
