A new mid-chapter update for Dead of Daylight is now available on the Public Test Build (PTB). It introduces a host of new features and content that will definitely make the game more interesting.

Trickster Changes

Ji-Woon Hak, also known as the Trickster, was added in the All-Kill Chapter update. After reviewing months’ worth of data, the developers found out that this particular Killer was at the lower end of the roster. Because of this, they improved certain aspects of the character.

Several changes were made to the Trickster’s Laceration mechanic. First, the number of knives required to damage a Survivor has been reduced to six.

Second, the Laceration decay, where there is a short delay before it starts, has been reduced to 10 seconds.

Lastly, Laceration’s rate of decay has been increased while running (at 0.3 seconds) and 0.4 seconds for other conditions.

According to the developers, these changes should make Survivor chases more interesting.

New Features

Some players may not like the game’s cluttered interface because of the score events, player names, killer hook counts, and other elements found on the screen. Fortunately, the new update will let players toggle these HUD elements on or off.

When the Beginner Mode tooltips are enabled, there will be a new tooltip for the Store button in the lobby. Also, players will now have the option to reset each category tab in the Settings individually.

Survivor Visual Updates

The new update has improved all of the survivor’s character details, and they look so much better as a result.

Ace, Adam, and Claudette, for instance, have updated face models and textures. Other survivors have also received some new outfits and improvements.
