Crash Bandicoot Trilogy On Xbox One? Even More Rumors Fuel The Fire

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has sold remarkably well already, having only released for the PS4 one month ago. However, we’ve seen a number of rumors pointing to a release for Xbox One as well. The latest comes from a video uploaded by Kara Zisa, one of the UI artists for Crash Bandicoot.

While the original video has been taken down, the internet never forgets and never lets anything die. The video above is a mirror uploaded to preserve the leaked video. In it, we see footage of someone scrolling through the Crash Bandicoot menus with Xbox button prompts at the bottom of the screen.

Before going crazy, let’s stop and figure out what all this could mean. While it’s possible to fake it, the video does seem to give pretty solid evidence that someone involved with Crash Bandicoot has the game running on a platform that isn’t PS4. However, just because there are Xbox button prompts doesn’t mean that the game is running on an Xbox.

It’s very possible that this is a PC build, using Xbox button pictures along with an Xbox controller. In fact, seeing as how a UI artist uploaded it, this could easily be a test the developers were running, or were using placeholder images.

That said, Crash Bandicoot is owned by Activision, not Sony. This means the publisher can do whatever it wants with Crash Bandicoot, like releasing the game on a different console. The company hasn’t outright said the game will be a PS4 exclusive, however Activision also hasn’t said it will be coming to other consoles as well.

The smart move is to simply wait until Activision has anything to announce, and avoid getting too excited for something that may not happen. If there’s some kind of timed deal with Sony, it will likely last six months to a year. Seeing as how the N. Sane Trilogy released on June 30, that means we might hear some Xbox-related news around November or December.

My take: With all these rumors flying around, and seeing how well the trilogy has sold on PS4 so far, it’s a no-brainer for Activision to make an Xbox One port for Crash Bandicoot. It seems like an announcement is now more of a when, not if, situation.

So what do you think? Would you be interested in getting Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy for Xbox One? Do you think this video is real or just a hoax? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
