Fans of the Cooking Mama series have a new reason to rejoice: an announcement trailer has revealed the next installment of the light-hearted cooking franchise. Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop will arrive on the Nintendo 3DS in April, bringing a whole new economic mechanic to the game’s classic culinary base.

Check out the new trailer for Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop below:

Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop boasts over 60 recipes with over 160 different mini-games to create them. You bake, stir, slice and decorate your creations as per usual, though with a pastry-focused bent.

Beyond that, you control the arrangement and display of your sugary confections in the sweet shop. The more sweets are completed, the more your shop expands to accommodate your happy customers.

Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop also ships with a competitive multiplayer mode for two to four players to enjoy. And, you’ll notice, Mama’s English has gotten notably better… ish. Is that supposed to be a posh English accent?

Office Create will be partnering with Rising Star Games in order to bring Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop to fruition. The game is scheduled for both physical and digital release.

“We are thrilled to welcome Cooking Mama into our ever-growing portfolio of kids and family titles,” said Lee Skittrell, marketing manager at Rising Star Games, in a press release. “Partnering with such an esteemed developer on such a cherished and established entertainment brand reinforces our commitment to entertain and delight gamers of all kinds.”

“We are honored that so many players around the world have taken Mama to their hearts,” added the Cooking Mama development team. “We are thrilled to be able to bring the latest Cooking Mama experience to fans and newcomers alike, with the release of Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop .”
