UFC fighter Conor McGregor will join the cast of Game of Thrones Season 7, apparently because, according to Belfast Live, one of the Game of Thrones directors is a big mixed martial arts (MMA) fan.

Game of Thrones fan site Watchers on the Wall believes they know who Conor McGregor will play in the next season: a pirate aboard Euron Greyjoy’s infamous ship, Silence. That means McGregor’s character will have no tongue, since all crewmembers aboard Silence are mute. “The part is a fairly small one, a cameo,” writes WotW.

Introduced in Game of Thrones Season 6, Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk) is likely to have a major part to play in the events of Game of Thrones Season 7. He is currently the only person in a position to thwart Daenerys Targaryen’s invasion of Westeros. His fleet is currently in pursuit of the Ironborn fleet stolen by Yara and Theon Greyjoy, joined with Daenerys’ Dothraki horde at the end of Season 6.

While Conor McGregor won’t get the opportunity to speak, his role certainly puts him in a good position to fight.
