There is good news for all "Stardew Valley" fans as developer ConcernedApe, also known as Eric Barone, has confirmed that there will be an update 1.7 coming for the game.
ConcernedApe also revealed that this new update is already in development alongside the next game and spiritual successor of the farm simulation game, "Haunted Chocolatier."
ConcernedApe Confirms 'Stardew Valley' Update 1.7
Engadget reported that during the "Stardew Valley" Symphony of Seasons concert in Seattle, ConcernedApe announced that his simulation game is getting a new update.
Later on, it was further confirmed by ConcernedApe on his X account that "Stardew Valley's" update 1.7 is indeed happening. He went on to say that he announced it via X since not everyone was able to attend the concert.
Okay, I revealed this at the concert last night and now the cat's out of the bag, so I will confirm for everyone: There will be a Stardew Valley 1.7 update. No release date, no estimate. But it's happening pic.twitter.com/RnNgc3ERER

This is the first massive confirmation of new content for the 2016-released farm simulation game. It is also a significant development for the aging game as it was expected that after the major 1.6 update, there may not be further updates coming.
As of press time, no other details have been revealed regarding the update.
Update Won't Interfere with 'Haunted Chocolatier'
One of the biggest concerns that fans have about "Stardew Valley's" update 1.7 is if it will interfere with "Haunted Chocolatier's" development.
Barone addressed the concern in a reply to a fan, saying that "Stardew Valley's" update 1.7 would not affect "Haunted Chocolatier's" development.
My plan is that this will not hinder Haunted Chocolatier development

The developer recently shared an update on the "Haunted Chocolatier" with a new in-game screenshot, which he shared last week.
It is still too early to tell what would happen to "Stardew Valley's" update 1.7, what it will bring, and when it would arrive, considering that it was only recently announced by Barone to the public. "Haunted Chocolatier" still has leeway for a potential 2030 release date, with the developer targeting the game's debut before the decade ends.
