Publisher Spike Chunsoft has just announced a western release of Japanese role-playing game Conception Plus: Maidens of the Twelve Stars in the West this coming November. This announcement was made during the Anime Expo 2019, where Spike Chunsoft revealed their upcoming slate of games for the near future.
Conception Plus: Maidens of the Twelve Stars’ storyline revolves around Itsuki Yūge, a high school student who finds out on the day of his graduation ceremony that Mahiru, his cousin and childhood friend is currently pregnate. Immediately after this discovery, Itsuki and Mahiru are taken to a fantasy realm called Granvania that is currently under attack by supernatural creatures.
The only people with a chance at defeating and controlling these monsters are the “star children”. These star children can only be produced by the 12 “Shrine maidens of the constellations”. Here’s where the story gets weird (or interesting, this is a no judging space): to create these star children, Itsuki must become each of the 12-star maidens' baby daddy so that they can defeat the monsters and allow him to return to his world. It’s basically a baby making simulation set in a fantasy world. The gameplay focuses on controlling Itsuki along with his star maidens by strategic positioning and squad composition.
The panel announcement confirmed the dates for launch. It will be available in North America on November 5, 2019 and in Europe on November 8, 2019. An official website has also been made to prepare for its release. The game will include the original Japanese audio, providing an English dub as well as English, Japanese and Traditional Chinese subtitles.
Conception Plus: Maidens of the Twelve Stars will be available on the PlayStation 4 and on Windows PC via Steam. The PlayStation 4 version will release with a “Day 1” Edition, which will go for $59.99. This includes a mini-calendar featuring the 13 Star Maidens. Another version called the “Star God’s Blessing” Edition will have a price of $99.99. This will include a copy of the game, a collector’s box, an official art book, a two disc soundtrack, art cards, and a beach towel.
