Cities: Skylines is a modern take on the classic city simulation. It expands on some of the well-established tropes of city building while offering new gameplay elements. In the game, players can immediately get the feeling that while building a city from scratch is easy to learn, it’s really hard to master. One thing that sets the game apart from others is how the city changes during different times of the day. For example, traffic is slower at night with some areas not working at full efficiency. Players must also maintain various city elements to ensure smooth daily operations. Cities: Skylines offers a sandbox mode as well, in which players are given more creative freedom.
