A new update has dropped to Call of Duty: Warzone, which introduces a plethora of weapon nerfs in hopes of balancing all of the guns.

The developers were looking at the average Time-to-Kill (TTK) for all weapons across multiple categories — with the main focus of reducing Torso Multipliers in this patch. This change will reward players who aim more precisely from now on.

As is natural for all live-service Battle Royale games, there will always be a “Best Weapon” in any meta. The devs are just hoping that with these weapon changes, players will not be compelled to conform to certain standards. In other words, players can use any gun they want and enjoy the game.

The patch notes reveal quite a lot of adjustments to the weapons. Although the list is quite exhaustive, here are some highlights:

The developers said that they are going to monitor weapon performance after the update. Should any outliers or weapons be getting more popular than others, then players can expect another balance update to be implemented in the future.

So, what do you think of the developers’ decision to balance all of the weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone?
