Call of Duty: Mobile revealed that Season 3 has officially started. This new season brings new content additions along with updates to the game. These include new limited-time game modes, new weapons, and even a new map.

Battle Pass

Let's start with the Battle Pass. While Season 3 started on January 15, the new Battle Pass goes live on January 19. It's going to offer a free tiered system that gives in-game items that can be unlocked by completing daily and weekly tasks. There are going to be different tasks ranging from needing to earn specific medals in matches in Battle Royale or making use of specific weapons in Multiplayer.

For those who want more rewards, there is also the Premium Pass that can be unlocked with COD Points. With the Premium Pass, players get the chance to earn more goods in a parallel tiered stream. It also unlocks Elite Tasks that give players more chances to receive Battle XP and Premium Pass XP in order to move through the tiers.

The new Season also lets players unlock and earn the Phantom in the Premium Pass, which offers its own set of Phantom Series rewards. The Premium Pass also has something in store for assault rifle players, which is the Type 35 Geometry camo. There are also more items coming that include Weapon XP Cards, Weapon Skins, and Credits.

New Maps

There are two new Multiplayer maps coming to CoD Mobile with Season 3. The first is Scrapyard, which became available on January 15. This map was first introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. While the design and playstyle should be familiar to many veterans, this mobile version offers its own strategies and tactics.

Later in the Season, the Cage map for Multiplayer is going to be released. This is an enitrely new map developed just for Call of Duty: Mobile. This map is small and focuss on close quarters combat. This should increase the tension while ensuring that there are more frequent engagements. This map can be played on Team Deathmatch, Snipers Only, Gun Game, and Free-For-All.

New Modes

The new Season is also going to offer new game modes not only for Battle Royale, but also Multiplayer. Let's begin with Multiplayer, which offers the fast-paced and high-stakes Rapid Fire mode. Unlike the regular version, this mode lets players earn Scorestreaks and Operator Skills faster. Not only that, there's also going to be infinite bullets along with infinite grenades.

For Battle Royale, it's time to give Warfare a chance. Similar to Ground War, it offers large-scale team firefights. In Warfare, each team deploys on different planes that fly over on their side of the map. Once players land, they then need to find and collect items since these are retained even after death. The mode also offers infinite respawns.

Just because there's infinite respawning and being able to keep items even after death, it doesn't mean players should just go head-on into the fight. Be sure to use some strategy if you want to win.

New Additions

Other new additions that arrive with Season 3 include:

  • Battle Royale – 20 v 20
  • Battle Royale Map changes
  • New Battle Royale Class
  • New Operator Skill – H.I.V.E.
  • New Scorestreak – XS1 Goliath
  • Addition of Call of Duty account linking

There's also going to be different UI updates plus weapon balancing and even some gameplay optimizations.
