Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Pre-Load Time And New Storage Requirements Announced

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s release date is right around the corner and Activision has some good news for players who have already put a pre-order in. Pre-loading times for Xbox and PlayStation have been announced. PC players will have to wait a bit longer than console players to be able to pre-load the game.

Pre-Loading Details:

  • PlayStation 4: Pre-loading will be available on November 5 at 9:00 PM PT.
  • Xbox One: Pre-loading will be available on November 5 at 9:00 PM PT.
  • PC: Pre-loading will be available on November 10 at 10:00 AM PT.
  • PS5 and Xbox Series X/S: Pre-loading will be available on their respective launch dates. November 10 for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, November 12 for PlayStation 5.

Activision has also suggested that console players have the latest firmware updates before attempting to pre-load Cold War from the respective stores.

Another great bit of news from Activision was the revised system storage requirements for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War across platforms and the ability for players to choose between the required modes during installation.   • PlayStation 4: 95 GB available space
  • PlayStation 5: 133 GB available space
  • Xbox One: 93 GB available space
  • Xbox Series X/S: 136 GB available space
  • PC: 35 GB (multiplayer) /82 GB (full game)/ 125GB (full game with ultra-texture packs)

Console players can uninstall specific game modes such as Zombies and Campaign by going into the Account & Network section, which can be found in-game. On the other hand, PC players will have the options to choose between specific modes before downloading Cold War. Additionally, Cold War will receive future updates that will require more storage space, so make sure your hard drive has over 200 GB to spare.
