For the World of Warcraft veterans out there looking to get back into game with the launch of WoW Classic, it seems like the perfect opportunity to find old friends, party members, and guildmates to once again take up the mantle of the Alliance or the Horde.

While it does seem unlikely for old World of Warcraft buddies to reunite again after a decade-long lapse since the first expansion came out, Blizzard apparently has your back. With the introduction of a new forum tool called Classic Connections 2004-2006, veterans of the bygone days of World of Warcraft, before any of the expansions came out, now have the opportunity to find each other again on the Blizzard Forums.

To use the Classic Connections tool and find fellow WoW veterans that you used to play with, all a players has to do is login to the official Blizzard Forums, use the Classic Connections 2004-2006 tool, and get started. The process is simple and straightforward - you choose whether you were in the Alliance or the Horde, and then you choose which realm you played on - Normal, PvP, Roleplaying, or Roleplaying PvP. Afterwards, you will be prompted to submit a forum post that includes your character's name, gender, race, and class, the guild/s you were associated with, and the names of the players you would like to reconnect with.

World of Warcraft Classic refers to the state of the world-famous MMORPG before the release of The Burning Crusade, the game's first expansion. Veterans of the game often agree that WoW Classic is not only the epitome of the World of Warcraft franchise, but also that of the entire genre. Classic felt and played much more like a role-playing game where every new item drop is an accomplishment, and every new ability was a massive leap forward. Everything is rarer and harder to come by, including items and experience, but the challenge also makes it that much more meaningful and enjoyable. Currently, World of Warcraft Classic is undergoing its final testing before its official launch on August 27.
