Bethesda Is Working On Several Unannounced Games, Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Claims

Microsoft recently shook the gaming industry when they announced that they bought Bethesda for a whopping $7.5 Billion. Microsoft didn’t just buy Bethesda, they bought parent company ZeniMax Studio which gave the company access to all eight ZeniMax game studios along with their IPs. However, Microsoft didn’t spend that much money for the current games, they have an actual plan for the future.

Xbox Boss Phil Spencer recently appeared on Major Nelson's podcast along with Bethesda's Todd Howard and Pete Hines where they talked about Bethesda's future games. There are still some games in development that haven’t been announced yet.

“I have the benefit of knowing the future roadmap and having some insight into the things that have been both announced and unannounced that the teams are working on," Spencer said on the podcast. "It's an incredibly exciting time for the work that Bethesda's studios are doing, as they continue with the craft of creating games and also thinking about how our medium of gaming continues to evolve and their role in that.”

We do know some of the games that are in development. There's The Elder Scrolls 6, which is probably years away. Starfield is also being developed by Bethesda Game Studios, and if rumors are to be believed, then it should release sometime in 2021. Machine Games is working on a new Wolfenstein game, which is hopefully better than Youngblood. Arkane Studios is working on Deathloop, which ironically is a timed console exclusive for PS5.

As for the unannounced games, we can only guess. If we are going off of sequels, The Evil Within 3 could be in development at Tango Gameworks. Although Bethesda seems like they're busy on both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 it's possible Fallout 5 is somehow in the mix as well. All of this is speculation, of course, so we'll have to wait for Bethesda and Microsoft to make any announcements before getting too excited.

It is also confirmed that every Bethesda game will be joining Xbox Game Pass. You can even play Doom Eternal from the Pass starting tomorrow. Other titles will probably be added soon.

So what do you think? Are you interested in any of the upcoming Bethesda games? Which new title are you hoping for? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
