We finally have a release date for the upcoming game Bayonetta 3 and it's going to be on October 28. As big as this news, it was eclipsed by another piece of information. Apparently, a new game mode is being worked on which, according to Platinum Games, should allow players to "fully enjoy" the game.

Dubbed "Naive Angel Mode," it allows for switching between character models used in the game. When this mode is turned off, Bayonetta will have, well, less clothing. When turned on, the character is fully clothed.

Not much was really revealed about this mode based on a tweet by Platinum Games which also said that with this mode, players can play the game wherever they are without the need "to worry about what's on screen."

In this third installment of the franchise, Bayonetta has to join forces with some familiar faces to stop the human-made Homunculi. Players can make use of her wicked weapons along with the new Demon Masquerade.

Pre-Order Now

Bayonetta 3 is coming out this October on Nintendo Switch. Pre-order for the game is now open at the Nintendo Store with the Standard Edition being offered at $59.99. There will be a Trinity Masquerade Edition which has the base game and these goodies:

  • Full-color 200-page art book featuring the beauties and beasts of Bayonetta 3.

  • Three reversible game cases for Bayonetta, Bayonetta 2, and Bayonetta 3, which form a panoramic artwork.

New Features

Unlike the previous games in the series, this upcoming game is not only going to feature one Bayonetta but a coven of them, each having their own powers and abilities. That’s not all since players can also control the witch-in-training Viola who’s more than ready to unleash hell using her sword and companion the feline demon Cheshire.

By the way, there's a physical release of the original Bayonetta game this September 30. It is limited, so pre-order now if you want to get your own copy. It’s priced at $29.99.

Going back to the main topic, what did you think of that toggle feature?
