Firestorm, the Battlefield 5 battle royale mode, has leaked online thanks to a trailer releasing early. The trailer can be found here, but may be taken down by the time you click on it. The video shows Firestorm gameplay, and explains how the mode works.

Like other battle royale games, players can play solo, with a friend, or in a group. Players also start each round being flown into an area on an airplane. Also like other games in the genre, Firestorm features players scrambling for better gear as each game progresses.

Objectives and safes can be found across the map. Unlocking the safes and completing objectives rewards players not only with better loot, but access to rare combat vehicles and epic Reinforcements. Objectives include capturing map points and making kills.

Also like other battle royale games, weapons come in different rarities. The more rare a weapon is, the better it is. Rare weapons include add-ons like scopes, recoil reduction and bigger magazines.

Firestorm eliminates player roles, meaning all players have the exact same stats and abilities at the start of each game. When a player is downed, he or she is still capable of firing a pistol. Players can be revived if they are downed, but can also bleed out if not revived fast enough. Once a player is dead, they are officially out of the game.

According to the leaked trailer, the game mode also features decreasing rings of gameplay, forcing players to fight each other as the game progresses. Instead of toxic gas or electric storms, the in-game explanation for the shrinking rings looks like it is massive walls of fire that destroy everything in their path. You definitely don’t want to be caught outside these rings.

While the trailer highlights tons of gameplay and explains all the features players can expect, it doesn’t mention when the Firestorm mode will actually be released. Whenever it is released, players will need to own a copy of Battlefield 5 to be able to access the game mode.

So what do you think? Are you interested in trying out Firestorm when it is released? What other battle royale games do you enjoy playing? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
