Assassin's Creed Valhalla will take players on a Norse Viking quest to find a settlement on foreign land. The game hopes to capture the glory of Viking culture as they establish their home in England. Your quest for establishing a home will not be easy. You'll be confronted by kingdoms and kings that don't want anything to do with you. There is expected to be immense tension between the Vikings and Saxons, but there are also going to be some wholesome and heartwarming moments.

In Assassin's Creed Valhalla, you can take a temporary break from the fighting by exploring the vast open world or show your affection to lovely cats roaming around the streets.

As you continue to explore the lands of England, recruit more allies, and expand your settlement, you'll also unlock various perks including Viking rap battles and playing with cats. When you're not out there raiding forts, exploring ancient tombs, or hurling axes at foes, you can have a relaxing time petting and playing with cats. You will also have multiple petting interactions and animations.

Ubisoft confirmed this feature on its official Assassin's Creed Twitter account by posting a short clip where Eivor can be seen petting a cat, which then pounces off of Eivor's hands. The video also has a caption saying, "It may be the Dark Ages, but there's always a little light." The caption perfectly addresses not only the events that will unfold in the game, but also the current times that we are living in.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey allowed players to pet only those animals that had been tamed. It's good to see that the petting feature is being fleshed out into a more robust one, allowing players to pet domestic animals. I am eager to spend my time with Valhalla petting every cat I come across. It's a tiny detail, but a wholesome one!

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is launching on November 17 for PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC. The game will also launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X sometime later.
