Thanks to today’s patch, fans of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla have a few more reasons to revisit the game. A couple of hours ago, the developer released Update 1.6.1 on all platforms. The size of the patch ranges from 1.6 GB to 11.9 GB, depending on which platform you play the game on.

Rune Forge
A ton of free content has been added to the game, including a new settlement building. The newly added Rune Forge building allows players to customize their gear even more. The said structure can only be built if Ravensthorpe is Level 4.
Tombs of the Fallen Pack 2
Tombs of the Fallen mission quest is coming to an end with today’s update. Three new mysterious tombs, featuring several ancient traps and complex puzzles, are introduced. Once you unlock Ravensthorpe, these tombs can be found in England.
AC15 Rewards – Ubisoft Connect
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla players are also receiving tons of free exclusive in-game items, inspired by 15 years of Assassin’s Creed history. These rewards can be claimed via Ubisoft Connect.
Oskoreia Festival
The limited-time event returns to Valhalla. The festival will begin on October 20 until November 10. Protect your settlement from dangerous spirits and prove that Raven Clan is undefeatable. Several new quests, activities, and exclusive rewards will also be available.
As you would expect, the update also brings a plethora of bug fixes and improvements. You can read a portion of them below.
- Equipping the Death Jarl helmet will remove Eivor's beard customization.
- Sometimes Odin can get stuck in a pillar when assassinating enemies.
- After the battle with Systir and his tamer in Nidheim, the barrier will not go away.
- Everold's store re-stocks with already purchased items.
- Unique Siege of Paris runes purchased through Pierre's shop can be sold, but cannot be bought back.
- Finishing Balor with a stun-attack can cause the encounter to get stuck.
