There are five player positions in Dota 2 and each contributes in ways unique to their roles. The most important and popular position perhaps is none other than position one or widely known as the carry. While various names of pro players come into mind when talking about the best to ever don the role, the topic is always subjective and changes from time to time.

In a livestream, Team Liquid’s very own streamer Max “qojqva” Brocker shares his thoughts on the best carries in Dota 2 . For him, at least right now, there are two worthy to be called the finest carry players of the game: Shopify Rebellion’s Artour “Arteezy” Babaev and Nigma Galaxy’s Amer “Miracle” Al-Barkawi. According to qojqva, Amir is still considered a top carry player despite not playing competitively right now.

A viewer asked the qojqva about who he thinks are the best pro players in the scene when it comes to donning the carry role. At first, he made a joke about it and picked popular Dota 2 streamers Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski and Brian “BSJ” Caravan. He later revealed his picks which are Arteezy and Miracle.

Qojqva, who streams for Team Liquid but plays competitively for Arkosh Gaming, emphasized that despite Miracle being on a hiatus, he remains to be the top seed in the leaderboard. He added that no one in the competitive scene right now is better than Miracle in the position.

Miracle has been on the inactive roster of Nigma Galaxy since December 2022. He cited health concerns as reasons not to play competitively for the time being. He has been absent in ranked games, too, suggesting that he is taking a break from playing pub games as well.

Arteezy, on the other hand, joined Shopify Rebellion along with all of his former Evil Geniuses teammates. He and his team are slated to join the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) North America 2023 Tour 1 Division 1.

Both Arteezy and Miracle are without a doubt among the greatest players to ever play Dota 2. The two, however, had a very underwhelming performance in last year’s competitive season. While Miracle’s return remains unknown, Arteezy’s run with Shopify Rebellion would be an interesting thing to watch, with many hoping he would finally lift the Aegis.
