The Gaiden Event in Apex Legends is finally here. It brings new event-limited cosmetics and sees the return of Armed and Dangerous. There's also the Gaiden Flash Events where players need to go through two unique weekly challenge tracks and unlock event-themed cosmetics.
LTM Returns
Let's start with Armed and Dangerous. Its return means that it's time to wipe down those scopes and rack those shotguns. That is because, in this LTM, only snipers and shotguns are allowed as weapons. Also, loot is harder to come by. This LTM is available from July 19 to August 2 and has World’s Edge, Olympus, and Storm Point as its map rotation.
Event-Limited Items
There are 40 event-limited cosmetics available in this new event, such as the new Legendary skins for Revenant, Mirage, Octane, and Wattson along with the complimentary skins for the Flatline, Wingman, EVA-8, and Charge Rifle.
Those able to get all 40 event items can unlock the newest Prestige skin, Bangalore’s Apex Commander! Prestige skins are Mythic cosmetic Legend skins that each have three tiers (three versions total of the Prestige skin).
Players able to unlock tier 1 of a Prestige Skin can then complete challenges to unlock Tier 2 and Tier 3 at no additional cost. Players can continue to complete these challenges once available and even after the end of the event. Once a Prestige skin tier’s challenge is completed, the player unlocks that respective tier’s version of the Legend skin, which can then be equipped.
Flash Events
Flash events offer two unique weekly challenge tracks that when completed allow players to unlock event-themed cosmetics. These rewards include:
- July 19 to July 26
- Fuse’s Down Thunder Epic Skin
- Bionic Buddy Gun Charm
- Epic 3030 “Cloudburst” Skin
- July 26 to August 2
- OK Holospray
- 1 Gaiden Event Pack
- 1 Apex Pack
VTuber Avatars
As part of the Gaiden Event, three Legends are now available as VTuber avatars. Players can choose between:
- Octane’s “Sea Legs” Skin
- Mirage’s “Marked Man” Skin
- Bangalore’s “Apex Commander” Prestige Skin
Each one comes with its own unique expressions, animations, HUD overlay, and emotes. Read more about it here.
