American Horror Story fans can look forward to hearing the show’s ominous theme song for at least two more seasons after Season 7. FX recently confirmed that it has ordered a Season 8 and 9 of the horror anthology.
"We are thrilled that Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and the entire creative team will continue to deliver the groundbreaking, celebrated American Horror Story for years to come,” said FX CEO John Landgraf in a press release.
American Horror Story wrapped its sixth season, Roanoke , in November, which followed a group of people braving a haunted house in a documentary and reality show fashion.
Currently, there is no word on the exact theme for coming seasons. However, Season 7 is expected to include aspects of prior popular seasons, such as Season 1, Murder House , and Season 3, Coven.
American Horror Story creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have other FX shows, including American Crime Story, which will follow the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina during its second season, and Feud: Bette and Joan , which premieres March 5.
